It is the culmination of responsibility fulfilled, objectives achieved and celebration deserved.
My wife and I are graduating, but not from college. We did that many years ago. We are now graduating from our traditional roles as the go-to Mom and Dad. June wedding bells will ring for our daughter, the one and only.
I imagine that parents wax sentimental when their children get married. So do I. My daughter was just a tot not too long ago. I remember all those nights when I would tuck her in to bed, the stories that she would ask me to tell and the made-up prayers that she would say.
One night I asked her before she said her prayers to thank God because He gave us everything that we have and He made everything in this world, the trees, the flowers, the vegetables, the animals and all others.
