After 20 long years, two of the most talented and most popular entertainers in the Philippines, Ogie Alcasid and Janno Gibbs, are reunited once again in a truly entertaining show called “The Small Brothers 20th Anniversary Tour.” This fun and exciting concert event will be held at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C. on November 6, 2009, and at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts on November 8, 2009. Ogie Alcasid is a household “celebrity” name in the Philippines. He is a very talented singer, songwriter, comedian, composer, television host, actor, and ntrepreneur. Since 1989, he has released a total of more than 18 albums, and received a total of five gold records, three platinum records, and three double platinum records. He hosts several shows in GMA 7 such as “SOP Rules” and “Celebrity Duets: Philippine Edition” with Regine Velasquez, among others. He is also one of the judges of “Pinoy Idol.”
Janno Gibbs is a very well-known Filipino singer and actor-comedian. He is often described as the “King of Soul” of Philippine music. He is a regular host of GMA 7’s “SOP Rules,” “Nuts Entertainment, “Eat Bulaga,” “Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5,” and “Power of 10.” Recently he played as Geron Aguilar in the show “Codename:Asero.” He is best known for his songs such as “Ipagpatawad Mo,” “Ikaw Lamang,” “Fallin” and other Filipino ballads. His father is the famous Filipino veteran actor, Ronaldo Valdez.
On this memorable 20th anniversary reunion tour of “The Small Brothers,” Ogie and Janno will be joined by the beautiful Ms. Iwa Moto of GMA 7 Pinoy TV. Iwa Moto is currently joined by Flipcyde abd Ivy Rose to do the opening numbers.
