Gibo: Expand 4Ps program to Mindanao

LAKAS-KAMPI-CMD presidential candidate Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. yesterday urged the expansion of the government’s “conditional cash transfer” program to Maguindanao and other deprived areas of Mindanao. He noted that one million poor families in Luzon and Visayas are already enjoying the 4Ps program. Administered by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under Secretary Esperanza Cabral, the “Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program” provides family-beneficiaries a monthly P1,500 allowance for food and their kids’ school needs.
