DAGUPAN CITY – Scenes of the killer floods spawned by tropical storm ‘Ondoy’ in Metro Manila on September 26 were replicated in the province of Pangasinan starting Thursday night until yesterday, with raging waters forcing residents to clamber to their rooftops to save themselves. Continuous rains in the past two days compounded by the release of water from the San Roque Dam in San Manuel town swelled waterways, caused major dikes to give way, and swamped at least 30 towns and cities in eastern and central Pangasinan. Residents described their communities as a virtual ocean. A year-old child drowned in Pampanga, and a 45-year-old woman died of cardiac arrest in an evacuation center in Nueva…
