At the Arthur Rubinstein Competition early this year, it was Ibay who won a special place in the
hearts of most. He won an invitation to Eilat by sheer force of his personality - and proved himself
multi-talented. A polyglot … he not only played a mean piano, but sang wonderful opera and had
the audience laughing with jokes that struck just the right note,” The Jerusalem Post said on March 25,
2008. “Carlos Alberto Ibay, a young singer-pianist blew us out of our seats…” -Liz Smith, Colunmnist,
New York Post. “’Modern Day Mozart’ From Fairfax Wows “The World” -Peggy Fox, WUSA Channel
9 News. Carlos began playing the piano when he was three years old and began performing on stage at the age of nine. This amazing performer has mesmerized audiences all over the globe. He has earned awards and recognition at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competion and in Russia, Spain, Philippines, Australia, Brazil, Italy, Israel, and venues in the United States such as Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center.
