Ex-Miss Int’l sues RP firm

Melanie Marquez, a former Miss International winner, is seeking a P13-million damage suit against Pureform Cosmetic Products for using her image in its advertisements without her consent. She filed the suit before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 96. She alleged that Pureform used her photograph to promote their anti-aging placenta extract products. Marquez was crowned Miss Philippines in 1979 and won the Miss International title for that year.
