A peaceful Holy Week

Philippine National Police Director General Avelino Razon Jr. said the observance of the Holy Week in the entire country as generally normal and peaceful. But Razon explained the alert status will remain to ensure the availability of personnel and resources for public safety and security operations. He added security measures are needed for the return to the cities of the tens of thousands of people who went to the provinces during the Holy Week break. The PNP implemented Plan Bantay Lakbay,which set up police assistance centers along national highways while the Traffic Management Group (TMG) spearheaded road safety operations.
