Philippines is indeed trying hard to be better country, the economy is getting better, investments do come and go, the government is working hard to make things even better. But we cannot please everyone, poverty is still present, unemployment is always here, many professionals are going out of the country. Bottom line is we have to have a good set of values and commitment to ourselves that we will all work, be honest to the country and yet not be dependent on the government only. Pity on our govt., pointing fingers are always here to stay. Indeed, we are the only Christian nation in Asia but I guess we do not practice it, how come our neighbors are far behind us? Because of opportunities? or because of lack of one. We filipinos are sometimes pathetic, God is always there to support those who use their gifts for the better. Sabi nila, madali lang kung sama-sama di ba?

I believe that US immigrants should be given due respect, they just want to work for their families. Immigration issues are quite sensitive especially to illegal aliens, I believe that US can help by allowing them to work, probably with much lower income bracket, lesser opportunities unless they are properly documented by US law. They should be given a time limit in order or them to legalize their stay. There must be a quota for instance so the US government can monitor.
