English instruction for adult speakers of other languages will begin the week of January 14 at Pimmit Adult Center, 7510 Lisle Ave., Falls Church, and at nine other locations in Fairfax County. The morning and evening classes are offered through Fairfax County Public Schools Adult and Community Education. Placement testing and registration is required and takes place the first week of January at various Fairfax locations. Twelve-week class sessions vary in cost ($140-$450, including registration fee and textbook), frequency, and total hours of instruction.
