The Philippines is the worlds 4th top recipient of overseas remittances, receiving $14.65 billion last year, according to the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Titled Sending money home: Worldwide remittances to developing countries, the report said India received the most with $24.5 billion, followed by Mexico, $24.2 billion, China, $21 billion, and Russia, $13.7 billion.
