This year daylight saving time is longer than last year with the passing of the Energy Policy Act back in 2005. The New Federal Law, extends Daylight Saving Time by four weeks from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November, according to speciallist it is expected to save 10,000 barrels of oil each day through reduced use of power by businesses during daylight hours.
New Federal LawThe federal government announced a major change in Daylight Saving Time. In Aug. 2005, Congress passed an energy bill that included extending Daylight Saving Time by about a month. As of 2007, DST starts the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November.
So this year Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 4, 2007. Mark your calendar and be ready!!!

- 2008: March 9 - Nov. 2
- 2009: March 8 - Nov. 1
- 2010: March 14 - Nov. 7
- 2011: March 13 - Nov. 6
