Visiting former President Fidel V. Ramos Sept. 30 urged Filipino Amerians to support the veterans as he contributed to the fund-raising merienda held at the residence of Ms. Cora Aliusag at her residence in Washington D.C. The affair raised $6,000 for the lobbying activities for the Filipino veterans equity bill pending in Congress. The event was organized by the American Coalition for Filipino Veterans (ACFV).
